Press Release: New Initiative Recognizes AAI Members for Collective Stewardship Efforts

Agri Drain Corporation has joined the Iowa Agribusiness Environmental Partnership (IAEP) as a Founding Member. The partnership recognizes the environmental values Iowa agribusinesses share in supporting agriculture and food production, and highlights the high standards provided through crop consulting and product use in agriculture. The program provides an understanding of shared environmental values and commitments, leadership to assist farmers and landowners in advancing environmental stewardship, and progress toward meeting environmental goals.

“As a manufacturer of products for in-field and edge-of-field agronomic and conservation practices that conserve and improve water quality, increase yields, and reduce soil erosion, Agri Drain values AAI involvement in Iowa and at the national level to protect the best interest of our industry, addressing topics such as water quality, and launching programs to protect Iowa’s soil and water,” said Lisa Newby, Agri Drain Sales, Marketing & Corporate Communications Manager.

As an IAEP Supporting Member, Agri Drain supports the Guiding Principles of the partnership and the use of those Guiding Principles within the agricultural sector. The guidelines have been carefully developed and incorporate the latest science in managing crop nutrients for optimal environmental performance while maintaining crop production.

“Our members continue to innovate and provide new technology and products for agricultural customers,” said Joel Brinkmeyer, Agribusiness Association of Iowa CEO. “The IAEP reinforces the commitment our members make every day to protecting and growing Iowa communities.”

The Iowa Agribusiness Environmental Partnership was developed by the Agribusiness Association of Iowa Agronomy Committee. It clearly identifies the environmental guidelines agronomic advisers use when making recommendations to crop producers. The IAEP supports the voluntary framework of the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy and allows Iowa agribusinesses to join together with one voice to show their commitment to environmental stewardship.
