posted 8/7/2017 Bioreactors have proven to remove nitrates and phosphorous from farm fields, but the city of Davenport is planning to install Iowa's first bioreactor in an urban setting. This urban bioreactor will divert water running from city streets that would normally gush into the creek during heavy rainfall, and remove pollutants before they enter the watershed.
