Check out my old FFA jacket! I can still put it on but can't zip it up. It was handed down to me from my older brother, Bill. He was a partner in Agri Drain for many years along with brother, Chris. Bill passed away last December and we miss him a lot.
My guess is that many of our customers were FFA members, or at least were familiar with the organization. As a senior at Adair-Casey High School, I served as VP of our chapter. I've always thought a lot about agriculture and expected that I would farm the "homeplace" where I grew up.
We still have the family farm and I ended up in agriculture by being involved in water management, instead of farming. Agriculture is an amazing industry with lots of opportunities and also a tremendous amount of risk associated with factors we can't control.
