Farmers gathered in Perry, IA for a Saturated Buffer installation that features 5 Agri Drain Water Level Control Structures. Originally a Bioreactor was planned for this spot, but after a review by Iowa Soybean Assoc. Env. Programs and Services, a Saturated Buffer made more sense. Chris Hay was on hand to explain how Saturated Buffers fit into the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy. Experts expect the saturated buffer to treat 70-80% of the water coming off this field.
